The Children’s Guild Foundation Medical Research Grant
The focus of The Children’s Guild Foundation Medical Research Grant is in the area of pediatric developmental disabilities. Our mission is to advance the understanding of biological systems, improve the control of disease, expand on or develop therapeutic programs and enhance the health of children with special needs. Our purpose is to promote research that is targeted toward understanding the causes of childhood diseases and developing therapeutic strategies to treat these diseases. The Children’s Guild Foundation encourages collaboration between researcher’s studies on childhood diseases and will announce, publish anddisseminate information about funded research projects. More than one grant application may be chosen for funding. Personal presentations and/or visits will be initiated by The Children’s Guild Foundation, if deemed necessary, during the review process.
PROPOSAL PROCEDURE
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION ACCEPTED ON A ROLLING BASIS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
The Abstract must be submitted to The Children’s Guild Foundation and is to include a single page summary of the proposed project. Please DO NOT STAPLE pages together. A letter from the chief executive officer of the organization must be included that states the organization’s support for the application. Upon approval of the Abstract, an invitation to submit a full research grant proposal will be extended to the principle investigator. Review of the abstract and full proposal will be done by a Scientific Advisory Committee. Your proposal will be reviewed upon the following criteria:

Environment
The Scientific Advisory Committee’s recommendations will be given to The Children’s Guild Foundation Board of Directors for final review and approval. The applicant will receive written notice of the funding decision upon its review by the board.
